We are thrilled to announce that Executive Unschool CEO and founder, Bree Johnson, will be delivering a keynote and leading a workshop at the Intentional Leader Summit in Marshall, MN, on August 7.

Bree's workshop, "Three Tools to Be the Bridge: How to Lead from a Regulated State," is an experiential session filled with practical tools and strategies. Participants will learn how to lead from a state of regulation and balance, stepping out of autopilot and the stress cycle to thrive as leaders.

Keynote Presentation: Building Bridges: Conscious Leadership for Collective Impact

In her keynote, "Building Bridges: Conscious Leadership for Collective Impact," Bree will share insights on the importance of conscious leadership in the age of AI and technology. She will discuss why human connection remains our unique strength, enabling us to enhance collaboration, drive greater profits, and improve wellbeing in the workplace.

What Is Conscious Leadership?

Conscious leadership is an approach to leadership that focuses on self-awareness, mindfulness, and the well-being of both leaders and their teams. Here are the key components:

  • Self-Awareness: Conscious leaders possess a deep understanding of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They are mindful of how their actions impact others and the organization as a whole.

  • Authenticity: Being true to oneself and transparent in interactions. Authentic leaders build trust and foster an environment where team members feel safe to express themselves and contribute their best work.

  • Presence: Staying fully engaged and present in the moment. This helps leaders to listen actively, make thoughtful decisions, and respond rather than react to challenges.

  • Empathy: Understanding and valuing the feelings and perspectives of others. Empathetic leaders create strong connections and cultivate a supportive and inclusive culture.

  • Purpose-Driven: Aligning leadership practices with a clear sense of purpose and values. Purpose-driven leaders inspire and motivate their teams by connecting their work to a larger mission.

  • Collaboration: Encouraging open communication and teamwork. Conscious leaders break down silos and promote a collaborative environment where diverse ideas and perspectives are valued.

  • Continuous Growth: Embracing a mindset of continuous learning and development. Conscious leaders seek feedback, reflect on their experiences, and strive for personal and professional growth.

Why Conscious Leadership Works in Businesses?

In a world increasingly driven by AI and technological advancements, conscious leadership is a way forward to a more intentional and aware way to lead teams and businesses. It helps retain and grow employees and results in healthier business cultures for all. Less reactivity, overwhelm, and chaos, and more harmony, growth, and intentional communication. Our connection to one another as humans and our interactions as colleagues will be critical to business growth as technology takes a greater role in our work too. These are a few things that will be explored in the presentation:

  • The Basics of Conscious Leadership: Understanding the core principles and practices.

  • Self-Awareness and Leadership Style: Bringing awareness to yourself and your leadership approach.

  • Uncovering Authentic Leadership Buried Beneath the Armor: Connecting to the genuine leader within yourself and your teams.

  • Expanding into Conscious Practices: Practical tools to embed conscious leadership into your daily work environment.

The Intentional Leader Summit is an amazing event to gain invaluable insights and meet leaders in a variety of industries. Enhance your leadership skills, improve workplace connections, and learn how to lead in a noisy and chaotic world.

From the founder of the Intentional Leader Summit, my friend Desiree Petrich:

The Intentional Leader summit has been perfectly curated to foster leadership in every individual regardless of their position. Becoming more intentional in life and leadership is about becoming more self-aware, learning to trust yourself and others, and putting effort and intention towards being the best version of yourself, so you can be the best version of a team player at home, and in the workplace.

I am passionate about leadership and personal growth because they are two topics that have changed my entire life! I wanted to create an event that my 25 year old self needed when I started my first management position. Marketing, sales, and KPI’s are a topic for another time.

This summit will focus on personal development and growth, fostering leadership in employees of any age and rank, and community engagement to help not only our employees thrive, but our community as a whole.

Tickets are still available and you can learn more here: Intentional Leader Summit Wednesday, August 7.
