Stress Less in 2025: Rethink yOur Relationship With Work

Weekly Dose of Work Recovery Vol. 1.4.25

In 2025, we begin again.

Hi! My name is Bree...

And, it's no secret I'm so excited you're here. This year, I'm sharing even more value, insights, and tools for you in our rebranded weekly note Stress Less Leader.

"First say to yourself what you would be; and then do what you have to do" - Stoic Philosopher Epictetus

We're doing things differently this year. Last year was a magical year of exploration. In our sorta weekly newsletter, I shared directly from the heart in hopes it would ease what was troubling you or perhaps be the encouragement to keep on going.

This year, the focus will be sharing articles, tips, and insights to help you stress less. Chronic stress causes relationship issues, mental and physical disease, burnout, and keeps us from living our best life. And one of the biggest causes of our day-to-day, chronic stress is work. More precisely, I believe it's our relationship to work.

The Stress Less Leader will be filled with stories, tips, and insights on how to limit the harmful effects of the stress to help you be a better leader, more present in the relationships that matter most, and find harmony in work and life. We'll feature stories of executives and people leaders who are redefining work on their own terms and achieving greater results by balancing their own needs and desires with the demands of their job.

Thinks it's too good to be true for you?

Stick around. I'll show you just how good it can get if only you have the courage to examine your agreements and beliefs about work and how they create autopilot patterns that drive unnecessary stress and overwhelm. Each week, you'll find ways that you too can go from chaos to harmony and STRESS LESS in 2025.

Links & Resources We Love Right Now

  • A listen: Learn why I changed the podcast from The Untamed Mind to How Good Can It Get in Ep. 71 A New Beginning.

  • A learn: A new word from ancient Stoics eudaimonia which is true happiness as defined by living in accordance with your true nature and pursuing virtue and wisdom.

  • A shoutout: CXO Magazine featured the work of Executive Unschool in a full article on healing work wounds, building wellbeing at work, and more. Check it out here

  • Something I love: Dry January. A viral post on LinkedIn with a woman sharing her commitment to Dry January had comments by people saying it doesn't work and won't last. What a crock. As someone who is electively sober, ditching alcohol has been the best decision of my life. Don't knock someone else's efforts to feel better.
