Fear Still Shows Up. But It Doesn’t Run the Show Anymore
Last week, I got asked some unexpected questions—
How are you so calm with everything changing around you?
Why don’t big things seem to shake you?
Aren’t you scared, nervous, or anxious?
How do you stay so grounded when everything feels so volatile?
And honestly, my answer might surprise you.
It’s not that I’m not scared or anxious. I am all of those things.
But my belief in myself - and in my ability to make the best of any situation - is stronger than my fear.
My inner compass is solid. I've worked through enough four-alarm crises to know that even when things fall apart, I won’t. I can stay grounded. I can find my footing again.
In the last five years alone, I've faced some seismic shifts:
On the best day of my 15-year career, everything unexpectedly collapsed. It sent me into a tailspin for over a year.
I made the painful decision to walk away from the employment law firm I co-founded after just 18 months because it no longer aligned with my values.
Within nine months, both of my parents suffered acute, life-threatening health crises—while I was 38 with two young kids.
We all have stories like these. The moments that rock us to the core and crack us wide open.
But those moments also build something new in us: Resilience. Perspective. Clarity.
They remind us that life is too damn short to stay in places we’ve outgrown or to keep shrinking ourselves to fit someone else’s comfort zone or to abandon our own truth for approval.
The only constant is change. And the greatest gift I’ve given myself is permission to evolve.
That shift alone—letting growth be the goal, not perfection—has allowed me to stop labeling things as mistakes, and instead see them as part of the path.
I’ve built safety within myself. Because nothing outside of me is guaranteed.
Taking action while afraid? That’s the real flex.
Things don’t always go as planned. But I anchor into this:
No matter what comes, I trust my ability to meet it, adapt, and rise.
P.S. If you’re in a season of change—or standing on the edge of a big decision—and want support navigating it with more clarity, confidence, and calm… I offer a limited number of private mentorship spots each quarter. If you’re curious whether it’s the right fit, you can reply to this email. You don’t have to walk through it alone.
This Week's Did You Know? You've got to be kidding me…
According to a report released this year, only 29% of C Suite executives are women. While it's progress from 2015 when only 17% were women, the numbers decline dramatically when evaluating top roles like VPs and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs). The report said we're more than 50 years away from any real parity in top positions. #notimpressed

Links & Resources We Love Right Now
A listen: Need a song that energizes you to conquer any challenge? Listen to The Score Born for This. It's got LFG energy all over it. It's on repeat for me right now.
A learn: At a hypnobreathwork & Mastry event Friday, I received an energy adjustment from Dr. Mahsa who practices the Zone Technique, which emphasizes healing in six body zones. Her book outlines the practice and the body's interconnected systems.
A shoutout: This past week I filmed with an amazing creative team from Catedral Collective out of Arizona. They made me feel chill and did an outstanding job with all that we threw at them. I'm the luckiest! If you need video, check them out.
Something I love: Rory McIlroy won the Master's golf championship this week after working on a green jacket win for more than 14 years. Pundits have criticized his inability to win it, calling him out for flailing in key moments. But this year he got his Grand Slam (take that!). And remember this when it feels like success takes too long. I'm not crying, you're crying!
